Ms. Mableson is known for her leading edge representation of clients who are early adopters of technology and digital platforms. Since 1994 she has represented business interests in Cyberspace including representing the first business to commercialize the Internet, i.e. “Cybersell” aka “Cantor & Siegel.” And, she was the first attorney in the world to open a law office in a virtual world when she constructed and launched her Intellectual Property Resource Center in Second Life in 2005.
Since 1992 she has represented internet and E-commerce companies, websites, Usenet providers, together with Creators and Copyright Holders regarding original content, security, and copyright infringement.
Through the DMCA HANDBOOKS ™ she brings her years of experience working with the DMCA to ISPs, Websites, Content Creators, and Copyright Holders. She also authored a DMCA HANDBOOK specifically for Virtual World owners and operators.
Ms. Mableson is an Associate Professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where she teaches “Governance of Virtual Worlds” and “Entertainment Business Contracts.”
